Another Month on Instagram – English Autumn

blue and white decor

It’s already been two months since @oldandbritish started on instagram! This past month has been a little month indoorsy. The weather has changed, the leaves are gradually turning auburn and the cold has settled in enough to warrant occasionally popping the heating on. But, there has still been plenty of idyllic moments; dappled tow paths, lush cottage gardens, and some cheery daisies, golden roses and cosmos hanging in until Storm Babet swept in. So as the English autumn, with it’s golds and browns creeps in, here is a brief look back at a surprisingly bright and [mostly] warm October:

As well as some lovely walks and wanders, October was also a month I enjoyed some shopping for the home and shared some of my finds – whenever there’s a bargain, I’m always quick to share the news for followers who might want to score the same item, these have included a pair of comfy sofa cushions for less than £20, and a stunning handmade vase, but the favourite was a haul of seven blue-and-white plant pots from TKMaxx (no, it’s not an ad, I’m just totally jazzed about the value of such pretty pots):

Unfortunately I broke a bone in my foot in October and it severely impacted my day-to-day life, meaning I wasn’t able to go for walks, or continue renovating my home. Naturally my instagram content slowed down as a result, but my online shopping increased! I spent much of the second half of October sharing with followers the numerous items I’d purchased, from the T.K.Maxx haul (above), to baskets, measuring cups and plants. These snippets are shared on my stories, so if you want to find some pretty-but-affordable products, come along and join us on instagram at  @oldandbritish.
